7 months Pregnant---update :( and :)

Okkkkkk...where do I begin?
A friend of ours has come to visit us from the states and all has been swell! Hilton had a week's worth of vacation (which has now ended) so we just hung out and we tried to show Chase, our friend, bits and pieces of the city. EJ loves him to the bones! I'll upload some pictures soon.
Now that I'm in my 3rd trimester, I have to start going to the hospital for my appts. In the states, you are seen more frequently as you approach your due date. Around this time, you're typically seen about every two weeks and then once a week towards the end. In contrast, the French follow the once a month schedule up until your due date UNLESS there's a need to see you more frequently.
My first hospital appointment was with a midwife whom I ADORE! I believe she will be the one to deliver our baby boy. Because I heard rumors that some of the hospital staff speak a little English, I figured I'd cheat and throw in the "ohhhh my French isn't that good so please be gentle with me!". It didn't work LOL! She looked at me and said, "Uhhh, your French is perfect with just a very small accent and your grammar is very good. Besides, I don't speak much English. What are you talking about???" I looked down and responded, "I don't know..." LOL! I've been getting lazy, so what?!
So why the sad face in the post's title? Well, I have to REPEAT my Glucose test (along with a host of other blood tests), first of all, and that test is NOT fun because I have to fast for 12 freaking hours. What?? The first time was TORTURE and now I have to do it again because she's concerned with my results from the last test which point to me being at high risk for developing Gestational Diabetes. This disease would not only affect me but the baby as well *think complications and premature delivery*. Voila. I have to increase my iron intake from every other day to everyday to combat my fatigue, start on Magnesium and take a 3 month dose of Vitamin D.
Another reason for the sad face is that I have been put on mild bed rest due to all of the cramping and contractions that I have been getting which is now affecting my "col" *.  Do I want to go into preterm labor? Hell to the no. This baby has a good 11 more weeks and I need my body to keep him in! I've been hearing, "take it easy" throughout the pregnancy, which I thought I've been doing, but it's getting more serious sooooo....yea.

Baby boy is hiccuping and it's time for me to grab EJ from school for her lunch break! I'll check back soon with pictures.

Ciao!
